Within the scope of the “Türkiye’s Net Zero Emission Target: Road Map for Transport” Project, a two-day training session titled “EU and Türkiye – Climate Action Framework: Requirements and Commitments” was held on 19–20 March 2025. The training addressed the EU Green Deal, the Fit for 55 package, mitigation and adaptation processes in Net Zero Emissions strategies, the roles of public institutions, inter-sectoral cooperation mechanisms, and decarbonisation strategies in the transport sector.
Delivered by Mayra Vivo-Torres and Dr. Ali Sercan Kesten, the training was attended by 34 participants. The programme, which aimed to strengthen Türkiye’s capacity for strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting towards Net Zero Emissions targets in the transport sector, concluded with interactive discussions and workshop sessions.
