The third training module of the “Türkiye’s Net Zero Emission Roadmap for Transport” project was held over two days, on 19 and 20 March 2025, with the participation of 42 to 35 attendees. The module titled “EU and Türkiye – Climate Action Framework, Requirements, Commitments” provided comprehensive insights into current climate policies.
Key topics included the European Green Deal, Fit-for-55 package, the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). In addition, the training covered Türkiye’s Long-Term Climate Strategy, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and sector-specific responsibilities.
Participants from public institutions, municipalities, universities, and relevant private sector stakeholders had the opportunity to engage in policy-level discussions and explore practical applications in their respective fields. The training was positively evaluated, with feedback highlighting both its content and delivery effectiveness.
