Within the scope of the “Türkiye’s Net Zero Emission Target: Road Map for Transport” Project, the Aviation Transport Thematic Workshop was held on 15 June 2026. The workshop included presentations on the financing framework and investment needs for the net zero strategy, the baseline emissions scenario and model outputs, and the draft strategies for the aviation sector.

The programme reviewed the sector’s current position, proposed strategic directions, key measures and actions, underlying assumptions and expected contributions to net zero targets. Strategy-based roundtable discussions examined the relevance and feasibility of the drafts, priorities, implementation needs, responsible institutions and institutional roles, while the survey and feedback session recorded participants’ needs and recommendations.
