The Launch Event of the “T\u00fcrkiye’s Net Zero Emission Roadmap for Transport” Project Was Successfully Held.<\/p>\n

The \u201cT\u00fcrkiye’s Net Zero Emission Roadmap for Transport\u201d Project, implemented with the financial cooperation of the European Union and the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye and under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, was officially introduced to the public at a launch event held in Ankara on 24 April 2025.<\/p>\n

The event was honoured by the participation of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Abdulkadir Uralo\u011flu, who shared T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s sustainable transport vision and the strategic steps taken towards achieving the 2053 net zero emission target.<\/p>\n

Opening speeches were also delivered by Mr. J\u00fcrgis Vil\u010dinskas, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to T\u00fcrkiye, Mr. B\u00fclent \u00d6zcan, Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation at the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. M\u00fccahit Arman, Director General for Strategy Development at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. They emphasized the importance of T\u00fcrkiye-EU cooperation within the scope of the project.<\/p>\n

During the event, the project introduction film was showcased, and journalist and author Mr. G\u00fcven \u0130slamo\u011flu contributed to the program with a keynote speech. Following this, a detailed presentation was made, explaining the project’s objectives, core components, and implementation process.<\/p>\n

Covering road, rail, maritime, air, and urban transport modes, the project aims to facilitate the transition towards a cleaner, safer, and more environmentally friendly transport system. It presents a concrete, data-driven, and actionable roadmap to achieve net zero emissions in transport by 2053.<\/p>\n

The event concluded in an environment of broad engagement, with the participation of representatives from public institutions, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
