The 12th Training Module under the \u201cT\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Net Zero Emission Target: Road Map for Transport\u201d Project was held over two days on 9\u201310 April 2026.<\/p>\n

The training covered the role of artificial intelligence and data analytics in the transport sector; their applications in road safety, traffic management, infrastructure and operations; AI strategies and implementation challenges; governance, ethics and institutional capacity; and case studies and future AI roadmaps.<\/p>\n

Delivered by Raj Mohan and Dr Omar Jamal, experts from the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL), the training combined theoretical frameworks with practical examples, case studies and interactive discussions.<\/p>\n

The programme aimed to strengthen participants\u2019 capacity to integrate artificial intelligence and data analytics into transport-related decision-making processes, assess AI applications in terms of ethics, reliability and responsible use, and identify relevant areas of application and priorities in line with the needs of their institutions.<\/p>\n
